Round the clock oprn of canal pump house Round the clock operation of pumps, valves, flow control valves, drainage pumps, submersible pumps, etc has to be ensured. Monitoring and maintaining parameters like suction chamber level, drain pit level, water flow & pressure, current, vibration etc. of units, inspection of leakages, , illumination or any other abnormalities and reporting to shift in charge/ concerned agencies and recording the events, equipment status and various parameters in a log book. Emergency situations like Power failure, leakages have to be attended. Valves and pump operation and isolation/normalisation during shop shutdown are to be done. Hydraulic as well as electrical isolation and normalisation of units as and when required in co-ordination with WMD . Housekeeping of the pump house, control rooms and the surrounding area etc. is to be done .Cleaning of basement of the pump houses has to be done.Regular cleaning of both the silt chambers as per Engr I/c. EA refers to one shift. *
